“A house as a powerhouse of creativity,” is how Axel Springer CEO Mathias Döpfner describes it. This is by no means an exaggeration. The building, based on a design by Rem Koolhaas, impresses with its avant-garde architecture. It serves as a magnet for meeting, exchange, and communication.
In certain areas, the choice of furnishings has been tailored to the building’s location, which lies precisely along the former Inner German border. Alongside the classic Barcelona Chair, design pieces by the GDR furniture design “pope” Rudolf Horn were also used—pieces that can be purchased exclusively through us.
