A space has been created that demonstrates how learning, encounter, and inspiration can be envisioned for the future. The new Johannstadt Library is more than just a place for books – it is a vibrant experiential space. A stage for exchange, designed with open zones, lounge areas, sofas and seating islands, a gallery for lingering, and fluid transitions between work, relaxation, and encounter.
Our furniture concepts and loose furnishings create flexibility and invite continuous reinterpretation of spaces. Armchairs, swings, and modular elements open up possibilities for movement, creativity, and tranquility alike.
The knowledge gained here will be carried forward – as an impulse for further district libraries in Dresden. Because spaces that breathe future emerge where function and emotion are in balance.
